Blund is made for logging your children's sleep and sharing it with your family. We only collect what the app needs to do exactly that. There are no ads, no analytics tools and no tracking in the app.
What is stored
- The children: the name or nickname you give them, an emoji and, if you like, a date of birth.
- The naps: when the child fell asleep and woke up, the notes you write, and which phone logged them.
- The phones in the family: the name you give the phone, its role (parent or helper), and when it last talked to the service.
We don't ask for your name, your email address or your phone number, and you don't need an account. Your phone gets a random key when you create or join a family, and that key is what gives access.
Where the data lives
Everything is stored on your phone first. When you use family sharing, it is sent encrypted to our service at Cloudflare, so the other phones in the family get the same. Only phones that belong to the family can read the family's data.
Who sees what
Your family sees the sleep and the notes. We only see numbers about the service: how many families, phones, children and naps there are, and the names of the phones. We don't see the children's names, the times of the naps or the notes. We don't share anything with anyone, and we don't sell anything.
Deleting
- You can delete naps and children in the app at any time.
- Whoever created the family can delete the whole family under Settings. That deletes everything we have stored about it.
- A phone that is removed from the family loses access right away.
